motor mount bolts

well i just got my mount inserts the other day and was trying to put them in today but gave up as one of the bolts started to strip so i decided to hold of until i can go pick up a bolt extractor in that size.. anyways before i do get it off i want to make sure i have another bolt ready to be put in. i was wondering what the rear size bolt is (ones that go into the frame). could i pick this up at the parts store if i tell them i need the bolt for the mount or would they not really carry it. or would i be better off going to either home depot or the dealer?

Home Depot probably doesn't even carry the correct size, thread pitch and hardness.

You might find that NAPA or someone like them would have a listing for the motor mount bolts, but again probably not. If you can't find one in a local Junk yard it's probably a dealer only item.

If you need an extractor did you break the bolt off? If you can get it out you probably will need to re-tap the hole so you have clean threads to go into.

Use Never-Seeze on them and torque to specification per the BGB.

Good luck!

ill just call up or walk right over to the dealer (since its about 1/2 block away from me lol)

no i didnt break the bolt off.. it just started to strip when trying to take it out.. so im gonna get one of those sockets that grips into it to get it out.. so at that point i think the thread would still be fine..
