clutch Issuses!

i have a 1988 NON-sc mr2, everytime i dump the clutch it just slips, were they made to do that back in the day or do you think the clutch is just wore? If so what kind of clutch should i get?

The car is 21 years old and the clutch has never been replaced so im think it is just wore. The person i bought it from was a younger woman that learned how to drive a stick in this car so.... yeah. haha

THANK YOU EVERYONE!

when you take off in gear does the engine rev faster than the car moves? If so it's time for a new clutch. I think which clutch you get is personal choice. I bought an aftermarket clutch kit for $100 bucks which works just fine for daily driving but some people prefer the pricier ones.

probably time for a new clutch if it's actually slipping...... OE clutch on an n/a will suffice just fine.... the stock one lasted you 21 years.....
