spyder wheels on aw11

1. Will the spyder wheels fit the aw11? This would be the 00-02 ones. 2. Also what is the biggest/widest tire size I could fit on them for the most traction possible and no rubbing. Stock is 185/60/14. With the new wheels I would need *guess* 205/50/15?

I have 15x6F w/ 195/50s and 15x6.5R w/ 205/50s. The fronts are almost identical in ht to the 185/60/14s. The rears are a little taller. Of course the width is 10mm (3/8"+/-) front and 20mm (3/4"+/-) rear wider. Which ain't much. I am running Eibach's which lower me about 1/2" from the factory springs (which had probably sagged a little).

If you haven't already bought the MK3 wheels I'll sell you mine. Even though they're common on AW11s I've not yet seen anyone else running a polished set.

OK so 205/50/15 front 215/50/15 in rear with AA grip A temp...dual strut bars, st sway bars, poly bushings all the way around, D2 coil overs dropped 1.5" front 1" rear = !!!#%^&#^%@%

this thing can HANDLE!! WELL worth all the time to make it right. Spyder wheels with some good tires are a really good buy.

Are you saying you bought those wheels and thats what size tires you have? pics or it didnt happen.

I took some pics and threw them in my gallery. I now have 205/50/15 all the way around. I have to get spacers or do something with the brake line brackets. (after market lines) so they won't rub. 1986 MK1 MR2 - mk15mr2’s Photo Gallery

Sorry, didn't make that clear. The 215 tires were rubbing on my brake lines which I have yet to fix, so right now using the 205. I don't really notice a difference between the two though. I don't have enough power yet.

205 is good enough on an MKI for a while. I wouldn't worry about it.

zero offset WOOOO!

+55 off set will be fairly tucked in, also depends on the spoke arrangement and how wide they are because you can land up rubbing the strut depending on the tyre you run. I run +45 which I like. +40ish is standard I think. The more positive the more tucked in, at 0 the wheel centre is in the middle. and at negative values it starts moving towards where it bolts up so sticks out more.
