Starting Problems
My car is sounding a lil off. some of the problem is my in-laptop mic sounding like garbage. the whistling is the engine running. i was unsure how to post the audio file tho. anyone have email or a site where i can post it? i wanted to use my ftp server software but that doesn't seem to be working out

Are you sure it's whistling and not a belt screeching? |

well i bought some belts after i talked to someone and i looking into what they said. the guy who replaced the belts last might have made a big mistake and we'll see what happens. the belt doesn't seem to be on right.ill give a sitrep when i get it on.
Update : a shocking discovery, the bonehead who owned the car before me must have burned out the alternator belt because the air con belt was put on the alternator and not even around the water pump... well i got the new belts but i can't get the alternator belt to go on tight enough. any tricks of the trade would be much appreciated. Update : a lil leverage and the belt squeaks no more, now onto the air con belt. looks like its gonna be a pita. advice welcome Last edited by traintech86; 06-22-2009 at 10:37 AM. |
