Solar Sensor parts
I have uploaded a photo of this sensor. It's the sensor that mounts to the cover of the instrument cluster hood. I'd like to find the bezel that snaps on and makes the trim piece that you would see if looking in through the front windscreen.
Any one having such parts feel free to contact me. |

That is the solar sensor for the Automatic Climate Control. Most folks have never seen one because very very few MR2s had the ACC. There are several other random sensors, like an outside temp sensor behind the front grille, a temp sensor below the radio, and one up above and behind the drivers head, and then a whole bunch of crap for controlling the whole heater/ac assembly.

That's really cool too bad I ditched the ac. I did notice the other sensors when I built it and just thought the front one was another ecu air temp sensor and the one under the radio was just some random thing, never spotted the other one behind my head.
I guess it was a bloated price factory option that you could opt for among the other options you could choose if you made a specific order rather than just buying off the lot. |

i found some weird wires ran to my steering setup. i was seting up the stero and they fell out when i took the dash apart on the bottom side. they are strange. i thought they were for the horn but i dunno what they do. ill get some pics but they are black and white wires about 16Gauge or so and they seem to be in black and white sections. there is lots of weird stuff in these cars it would seem. not sure about your thermal deal.
