I think they will stay the same as it seems mr2 prices have leveled out.

i think it might go down.. cause its getting older.. =\ but then again.. look at the pricing on the supra. and nsx.. those prices are not shooting down at all they stayed forever..

I think the high mileage, rough conditioned ones will continue to fall in value. While the low mileage, super clean or rare ones will actually rise in value. Overall, I dont see much of a change but I do think the rare ones are only going to get more rare and raise in value in return.

stock, unmolested mr2s will be harder and harder to find though so I can definitely see a stock car going up a bit in value compared to a typical modified car.

I agree with whats been said, most will stay the same with the molested ones dropping.
Nicer 2's will always bring in more dollas.

i've been thinking about getting out of the MR2 game. maybe for something more common.

does anybody have opinions about switching from the SW20 to a new car? like, what experiences and thoughts and stuff.

here's a pic of a mr2, just for the hell of it. i think it's somebody's on the board or i randomly googled it.

edit: i really want a new-er MR2, but it's so hard to find, and i'm not a baller of any sort. im a poor college student.

Is your car NA or turbo? Modded or stock? Paid for or have a loan against it.

I don't see our cars going up in value anymore since the price of newer cars (S2000 and 350z's) are depreciating and more people are most likely to buy those cars than ours. Our cars are old.

91-92 = $5000 - $8000
93 = $8000 - $10000
94-95 = $10000 - $15000

S2000's are already under $20000 and they're fairly new. The only thing that we have going for our mr2s is the rarity factor which will maintain it's price in my listed ranges.

MR2's will retain there Value in the next couple of years. Regardless of S2000's pricing droping to under 20k. That actually shows what kind of car we all have here. Come on! Your Talking about a MR2 here Compared to a S2000. If you take a look at all the 2 seater sports cars out there right now and compare it to the MR2 Turbo. The MR2 is a Great car Still, from this day. As far as power, handling, LOOKS, 3S-GTE Vs.., We have a car that is the same drivetrain setup as the acura NSX, Ferrari. From what i notice in the streets and everywhere i go now.. i see more people respecting MR2's now and alot of MR2 guys are bringing the car in style after a decade. MY 94 MR2 has a resale value of over 50% after 12 years.. how many cars can you name out with that kind of resale besides the Supra and NSX.. ?
I Remembered when i was 16 looking for a MR2 Turbo that was over 8 years ago and MR2 were the same prices then as now. Reason why.. is because this car is the **** compared to most 2 seaters out there.

its a heck of a car for your used car dollar....trouble is finding one that some kid hasn't trashed..get a good one now and hold it.fewer as new mr-2s everyday..
