I really like the twin gauge pod on top of the dash as well. Unfortunately, I can't get it through my wholesaler.
Any ideas on obtaining one? |

Dumb question that begs asking..
Everyone realizes that these gauge pods are tilted for RHD right? So even if you order these, they'll be really hard to read on your car..? Unless you have a RHD conversion etc.. ? |

yes, the passenger side just wont work on a LHD Mr2, but the drivers side dual guage pod should work just fine. I am going to head down there this weekend and find out cause a lot of people are asking me.
Tohlman - There are no distributors of Border Racing in the states and in the UK. If you want something, PM me. I might get a list going of what people want, and after the holidays, start a group buy, hopefully at a discount for you guys. We will see. |

Good Stuff. Still leery of that one too. From the looks of it, it's molded to the dash, which includes a bit of the clock area so far as I can see. From the pictures seam anyway. Highly doubt it, but definitely appreciate you looking into it. =P (Love to see you prove me wrong

Im somewhat new to the seen here and have never herd of border performace parts. They look to be of really high quality. Do these guys happen to make AW11 parts by chance?

Border Racing makes some of the highest quality parts out there. Unfortunately there prices show that.
I asked if Border Racing made parts when i was there, and they said no. They just never got into it. They also don't make parts for the MR-S. He felt that Toyota really got out of sync with the MR2 tradition of sports cars with that model mr2 (actually he wouldn't call it an mr2, everytime i called it an mr2 he corrected me ) |

Yeah, i don't think the pod I was talking about would be tilted anyway except for the driver to see so I don't think it would matter LHD or RHD
The ones on the passenger side on the other hand... haha. I don't like those ones anyways. Phoenix - did you get some kind of catalog from them? there's actually a few companies here in the states that deal with Border Racing. Check out Bulletproof Automotive They're great people but it takes forever to get your stuff. I'll shoot you a pm here in a little bit. Thanks for all the info! |

I did an interview with border racing for the MR2only magazine. The owner told me he has no distributor in the states, or in the UK, and is desperately searching for one. He gave me a whole portfolio on there company and the products they sell for the MR2. One thing that i didn't know about, was the roll cage. I didn't know they made those, and he never said anything about it and its not in his catalogs.
edit: your right, i just checked out bulletproof automotive so perhaps they know of a wholesaler in japan who gets them the parts. They only have the body kit and roll cages listed though ![]() |

Wow this is very interesting. That engine lid is one piece too isn't it. Man I wish I could get my hands on the roof spoiler thing, the gauge pod, and the engine lid if it truly is 1 piece and eliminates those side parts on either side of the engine lid.

I might be doing a group buy after the holidays for the roof spoiler. It would probably be towards the end of January before being able to do it, which would give everyone a few weeks to recover from holiday expenses (childeren, save your money from grandma for this).
Ill be heading down to Border Racing this weekend to discuss the details. Chances are this is how it will go. I will get full payment from everyone once the group buy starts, i will then take the money, and go to border racing, and purchase the roof spoilers all at the same time. Chances are, they don't keep that many in stock, so it might take a few weeks for them to complete. After further study of the pictures, I don't know if the roof spoiler comes in fiberglass or not, i will find out. And as you can see from the picture, i don't know if they have any in the full black carbon fiber or not, they might just only come in the gold. The gauge pod from what i can tell, comes only for the RHD models. I will look into LHD models for people but i think we would need a ton of people in on it if for them to make a limited edition gauge cluster in LHD if they don't make the model already in LHD. That is a question that i will also ask. Thanks worr pyro for pointing that out. I will check! Ghost Ridah, ill check the engine lid info out for you, but i don't know if i can ship that or not, its pretty big. |

Phoenix, I got my local little japanese girl to read and translate a few of the pages for me.. The gears are obviously race gears for the turbo, and show the gearing ratios. The two metal plates for the suspension arms are Camber/ Roll Center Adjusters. The difference is in the size of the plate, and whether or not you have to change the wheel base (by that i assume wheel size).
Finally, they make no real claims about the harness bar except that if you want more information on how it allows you to mount a 4pt harness, to contact them. From the point of rarity of manufacture, I'd want the RCA's hands down. No one stateside has designed them, at least that's what I gathered from the other board. And they have the most benefit to a suspension geek Hope this helps someone other than me ![]() Last edited by WoRR Pyro; 12-16-2006 at 03:38 PM.. |

I LOVE the roof spoiler, the roll cage, the suspension parts, and the hood/radiator re-locater. GET THEM TO THE STATES! You should get a buddy that speaks decent English and JAPANESE and go down there w/ a list of questions and get all the info you can. Also see if you can setup being a US dist when you get back to the states. I'll help ya run it out of Utah :-p.

QUESTION: How does the roof spoiler fit w/ the tom's scoops? Looking like there might be some clearance issues....
Happen to have a toms scoop you can go put on one of their cars for a test fit? :-p |

BLEH~ That's what you get from being strung-out on caffeine all day just to stay up and study, then browse the boards half-asleep before you go to bed :-p. Silently or not so silently fixing...lol
