Border Racing Parts - Pictures -

56K Beware

I just wanted to post all of the parts that Border Racing in Japan offer for the mk2. I can't read japanese, so don't bother asking. If your serious about a part, let me know and i can have it translated. They have some impressive parts other than the ever popular Border Racing Body Kit that has become a household name for body kits in the mr2 community.

Most of it is extremely expensive, but other pieces i found to be cheaper than expected.

p.s. my scanner didn't like some of the colors in the pictures so they might see a rainbow glare on them, i think i got it fixed halfway through

Phoenix, i'd be interested to know what the drop plates for the balljoints, lower suspension peices are listed as actually doing.. looks like they increase distance between the knuckle and the balljoint.. would change the suspension geometry unless you were slamming the car in the first place.. hmm. Maybe it's like the wrx drop plates.. Also, I'm assuming the straight bar that appears to mount to the firewall is for a 4pt harness.. are they saying it shores up the firewall enough to allow you to mount the harness even tho it's technically not a sound anchor point?
(I've seen similar parts in Phoenix's Power product list so this is why I'd like a clarification, if you can get it =P )

unfortunately, i don't have the means to ask them. I can't do it yet, but give me a month or so, and ill have these translated, i have a few other things to get translated that takes priority.

On the firewall mount question...i don't know.

so what im really trying to say is.....i have no idea. Damn the language barrier!

That's fine, I was right about my first question, in that it is similar to the drop plate that has been designed for the WRX.

The same thing can be acheived by raising the inboard pivot point of the LCA 1", which is pretty much impossible until you start talking about custom subframes. There may also be some clearance issues to deal with, not sure. The downside of RCAs is that you need to run bigger wheels since you will push the castle nut on the ball joint down into a stock wheel pretty quickly. A 1" RCA would probably require 17" wheels minimum."

I love the twin gauge cluster that sits on top of the dash, that was smart design work right there.

Those fenders are l33t, never seen them on an MR2 besides the Border one...after I read a few threads on aero, that, speedflaps, border hood and underbody block off tray would kick ass

Wow, that's a lot of really great stuff. The gauge pods are nice, i've never seen one for down in the glove box. The roll center adjusters, the camber plates, all really good stuff...

ive known about most of that but the suspension parts and the down pipe are new to me.
I tried for months a year or two back to get the radiator relocation kit and the roof spoiler from them but they never responded to the emails... in english or what i had translated; all i ever got from them was not ship to u.s.
