Here you go, I think these are the same flush mounts Bak posted, and the same ones Tucky has on his MR2. They cost £250.00 (GBP)

CarBen Fibre Creations - Quad Headlight Conversion

Here are pics from the above website.

I think you move those lights up another 3/4" (or as much as you can), decrease the height the housings raise a bit more, and make a "fill-in" shroud spacer, and they might really look nice. I'm guessing you used a 4" x 6" dual filament bulb?

Hey trevs2 what car is that smaller lens off of?
Also what is the step you took to make the light sit lower, Did you modify the arm to where it can go up and down?

Also I will be doing a write up of a lowrise using c5 corvette lens. that still keeps full functionality.

The bulbs that he used are probably H4666 bulbs that are common to the mid 90's ford probe's and probably other cars that are not comming to mind at the moment...

Im not sure how he did his low rise, but the only correct way to do it is to relocate the ball on the pivot arm of the motor and shorten the connecting rod by the same amount... You can also do the same with the connecting arm mount on the housing and the connecting rod but you can get much change without either messing up geometry or running into interference issues.

Have you measured the C5 units yet??? I would think that they are too wide to fit the two's covers (I could very well be wrong though but they do seem like they are noticably wider).

Yep, Rev 6 comes to mind too...

The Rev 6's are nice, but I thing I'll build my own for much cheaper and they'll be lower with better light output then the Rev 6's.... The Rev 6's use Hella 90mm modules.. Which are fairly old.. Hella now has 50mm and 60mm modules which for one are smaller and two have much better light output over the older 90mm modules..

Nope, These will be single lenses , HID, fully functional up and down, and only cost about 300 bucks and I'm going to post a write-up to make it easy for install.

So 400$ cheaper than rev6 and you don"t have to go buy Hid after the purchase...

Like I said before, not been done yet....

Still waiting for trevs2 to get back on my previous question...

When you say full up and down, do you mean full height or just full functioning up and down? If you are meaning full functioning up and down, then the REV 6 has that already.. as for the rest of it, $300 is cheap for HID...

I dont think you will find a projector conversion type housing for anything other then a H6054 housing (i.e. standard MR2 bulb).. The only one that is smaller is a H4666 and I've never seen a projector replacement bulb for one of those... There are bulbs that are smaller but they are single beam unit, not dual beam... Even with HID's Dual beam (high and low) is still a good thing to have.. Finding a Bi-xenon bulb will be inpossible that will fit the smaller housings...

There is also a H4701 / H4703 bulbs which is even a bit smaller in height then the H4666 but again, I highly doubt you'll find it in a projector or even a conversion housing for H4 composite bulb. They are single eliment bulbs...

Dammit your right, I can't find any projector lights that are smaller than 6in height.

Back to square one..........man I dislike you right now

But wait,...What about a lens housing for a motorcycle they have HID too, it would not be projector but you can get smaller lenses.

I really need to know what car that lens came off of that trevs2 posted. It is smaller both height and width.

Sorry to burst your bubble...

As for Trevs2, My bet is on the H4666 if he used a dual beam bulb and if it is only a single beam (kinda dumb to do) its H4701/03 or the H4656/51

Ok, Im pretty much positive that he (trevs2) used a H4666 bulb.. I broke out the scale and scaled the bulds in the picture and knowing the stock bulb (shown on the left) for the scale factor, the smaller bulb (on the right) works out to be the H4666...

Hella does make a conversion style housing for that bulb but its not a projector. Personally, I think it would be a waste of time to use that bulb. Yes you can lower the door but not as much as going other routes like Rev 6 or custom done housing like I'm gonna do using even smaller / better projectors then the Hella's used in the Rev 6.

ok I decided to use a hella H4 housing thats 7 by 4 inches or I can go smaller with 5.8x3.3 inches both take H4 HID dual filament bulbs and will be very lowrise and still only run about 300 for the work and items needed.

We will see when I get a chance to start the fab work.

Hope you dont have Nazi type police in your area....

Those housing are not going to give you a good clean crisp horizontal cut off which is needed with HID... There is a reason why Its Illegal to put HID bulbs in a non HID housing and use on public roads... Its DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! It causes excessive glare and blinding light to on coming drivers... I've experianced this and almost in several occations been in accidents cause of Jackass's that put HID's in thier non HID housings...

The housing are made for HID they are conversion lenses for a jeep wrangler
and the slope and front lenses are the same as the silverstar ultras seal beams I have on my car now.
