Hella 200mm Rectangular E-Code Headlights Read the link below for the differences between Hella E-Code Housings and Hella DOT Vision plus housings The Differences Between ECE and "Vision Plus" Conversion Headlamps & Vision Plus Useful Information Defiantly stick with a quality brand light Hella. The light output is better, plus they use glass housings and not cheap plastic polycarbonate like a lot of cheap housings use. Since you want to stick HID's in there, you'll defiantly want to stick with glass housings like Hella over cheap plastic ones that may melt. As for the cost of an H4 HID conversion kit...that depends on the quality of the product, etc. Some cheap ass HID kits are only $250, some are $600. It depends on the quality of the kit and it's components. The quality ones are cost more than the cheap ones. Kris @ KO Racing runs Hella 200mm H4 conversion housings with HID's in his MR2, Loki. I'm not sure if he has the E-Code or DOT Vision Plus ones. I'm partial to the E-Codes myself, that's what I would get. I know they are "not techincally street legel" in the US, but they put out a better light pattern & more usable light, all while blinding oncoming traffic less than DOT lights. You're not going to get harassed by blinding traffic LESS. It's win-win IMO. Also, considering this. You are trying to throw HID's into the housings. That could blind on-coming traffic more. E-Codes blind on-coming traffic less. I'd get the E-Codes to off-set the effect the HID's will have on on-coming traffic ![]() |
