actually, neither of those are really rare in comparison to the robin's egg blue-ish 93 only colour

I also had a "teal" 93 (below). Some of you guys may remember my car from the IMOC days. I've seen several in this color in my area over the years, heck I know where 2 are right now. They are probably not even as rare as the copper, light blue, and burgundy MKI's.

The light blue 93's are extremely rare. However, there is a girl I see often w. one (she works at a local restaurant). The car looks to have never been washed and is "girl wrecked" in a few places. Every time I see her in traffic she is on the phone driving like Stevie Wonder. I have yet to get the nerve up to ask her if she will sell it. Chances are she is in deep, upside down in a loan (it has the local Toyota sticker on the back). I took a pic the last time I saw it (sorry, moving pic from the car).

Wow. Another with t-tops, until recently I had only seen them in automatic hardtops.

Actually, it is rare to see a 93+ w.out t-tops in the Southern US. However an automatic MKII always comes with sunroof, but these are rare too.
For that matter, I have yet to see a "stripper" hardtop 93+, only a 91 and only once have I seen one. Speaking of, did anyone mention the hardtop MKII's with no power options?
On another note, there is also a tropical blue color for 94 - I've never seen one in person.
Anyway, I think I'll stick a note on her (light blue) car this afternoon asking if she will sell it.

The 89 that my parents now own has the maroonish/red interior. The original color of the car was a burgandy but was recently sprayed grey, PO. I'll try and get pics (good lord i say that phrase to often..)

I've seen this maroon interior in Canada but it's not limited to just here. A former member purchased an '89 SC in Texas that has this reddish interior.

I'm also surprised that no one's mentioned these: Power side folding mirrors for the Mk1 off the '89 Super Editions.

Russ, are you sure those were ONLY found on MKI SE's... being that they're white, its possible, but AFAIK, there was barely ANY 2 tone white-gold cars produced in addition to the very scarce blue cars.

also, add me to MSN if you use it : adam_lancaster@hotmail.com

Those red MR2 intereiors are so fugly but are cool for the conversational factor of having it and the sheer rareness of. I would take one depending on the exterior color...and hope I never need any replacement parts. On a coincidental note, the 90 300ZX also had red int. on some white cars and it was discontinued appx. 6/89 (production date). This is also the case for the 89 RX7 - it only came on Champagne cars made from 4/89-7/89 and never seen again. Red interiors were aparently going out of vogue at this time.

When your speaking of scarce blue cars, did you mean the mk1's? I didnt think the light blue thats on my 86 is scarce though.

Are you 100% sure the 86 color is not the same as the 85 color (as seen below)? It does look lighter, but is that due to the black trim on the 85? Either way, neither are really rare - have seen many in this (or these) colors for both years. I will check my brochures when I get a chance to dig them out (I have 85-89).

What was being referred to is an absolute light blue that came out in 89 (maybe 88 too, will check). I have never seen one in person. I would surely like to have one in this color, and definately in the copper color too (almost bought a couple of those b4).

Either way, I will look at my brochures and list all colors from 85-89 as they are in the books. Later, I may make a thread with pictures of car with all of the colors (assuming I can find pics of all of them). There were very few of the late MKI's sold so it is rare to see any of them.
