I HATE NOT HAVING A/C!

its been so hot and humid latey its the worst feeling to sit in my BLACK LEATHER interior and not even have to drive or move to sweat...

it sucks... i had tha ac removed from both my mr2's since i really could care less about it at the time... but i drove my bfs rsx for so long that i became spoiled and now i want it back...

the biggest windows/openings in the world cant prevent you sweating your ASS off from sitting in the heat.

I'll second this.

Christine has cold air, not Antarctic. It's good up until about 85 degrees. I find it much easier just to crank down the windows and use 55 air.

Mine blows cool, but not cold. I'll be removing it here shortly though, I haven't used it once. I live in Reno and even on the worst days, sitting in traffic, windows down is good enough for me.

Course, I leave my shades in my t-tops a lot of the time. Even with the shades off it's fine though.

Holy undead post batman!

AC condenser was in the way of the Inner cooler, so the rest followed suite.

a crapload of money! ac work is surprisingly expensive. its pretty easy and cheap to do yourself though. count on 1500-2000 for a shop to replace everything, or 150-200 to diy.

Sorry got excited and left out a "t" with too many "n's". :P

But seriously, the AC compressor came out with the motor.
The motor went back in and on a boring weekend I'll remove the lines.
I live some where hot to get cool drive faster. Everyone knows that, jeeeeez.

When I first got my 92 It didn't work, at all. SoI took it and had serviced. They converted it to R134a. But the A/C clutch was binding up, but it worked, and of course they wanted to change out every thing then for $700. So I desided to changed out the clutch from another compressor I had. Stupid me I swapped the clutch while it was still on the car thinking the A/C was still charged, and save some money. Boy was I wrong, Had it serviced again they said the system was empty, and there was a leak compressor. I should have changed the entire A/C Compressor, and it would have saved me $80 bucks or so. But as bad as it was, I was still 300 bucks under the wire, for what they wanted to fix the A/C. On a normal day it almost too cold, and on really hot days it does okay. Moral of the story unless you have more time than money, pay to have it fixed. Plus they guarentee the work. Some folks don't care about the A/C, but for me if it's on my car I want it to work, period end of story and I won't stop till it's right. It costs more to do it that way. But when it's right it's right, and I never have to go back and redo it.
