Good question. Are the winners already notified before print? You would figure that would be courtesy...

Yes, indeed winners were notified that their cars had been shortlisted for the calendar, out of courtesy. We never announce publicly which cars were picked until the magazine comes out in print, so as not to spoil the surprise.

We are looking into different options for next years calendar, as picking 12 MR2s from the hundreds of excellent ones that were picked was very difficult, especially as we try and balance mk1, mk2 and mk3, as well as making sure we have 1 from at leach club entering.

Any ideas for next year, please feel free to post them!

Ehh, I was hoping to know ahead of time which cars made it. Not sure if I'll pick it up on a blind whim. I hate surprises, lol. I'll have to mull it over in my head.

I am not sure why Steve@MR2Only didn't want to let us know which cars made the calendar when we asked, but when he was asked over at MR2OC on January 9th (5 days prior to us asking) which cars made it, he posted a picture of which cars made the 2009 Calender less than 2 hours later.

Steve, can I ask why you showed the MR2OC guys which cars made the Calender when they asked 5 days prior to us asking, but you would not share the same information with us?

Anyways, since he posted the picture of it up on MR2OC, I figured it's ok to post it here. Here is the picture of which cars made the 2009 Calendar that he posted on MR2OC.

I can assure you there's nothing sinister going on, it's no big secret who's in the calendar, all those who bought MR2 Only Mag would of know during December, and if you look in our sponsor section I did actually post the same info you have kindly posted here too on the 10th Jan. It's also posted on all of our UK forums, and Australia.

Sorry I didn't post it here, which I should of done, although I try to keep advertising the mag itself to the appropriate section. MR2 Only Magazine is worldwide we publicise the mags on around 12 forums worldwide, checking and keeping updated with them all is very time consuming, particularly at the moment when we are busily finishing off issue 14!

Once our new website is finished, I'm hoping to include the calendar images as desktop downloads too.

Hey, it's ok. Sounds like it was a big mix up. No worries! You have a lot of fourms to post in, as you said, plus production of it all, things get mixed up. I understand mix up's and deadlines, I was a journalism major my first go around in college. Also, you did indeed post it on the 9th exactly where you said you did.
