KYB!!!! Its really all subjective to ride harshness, ride height and heaps of other factors and weather you track it. When I chose mine I went for the hardest cheap ones I could get, rides like a rock but handles like a dream. First drive in the mkII for months today after a wheel alignment and engine swap.......feels good man

I mean like where they bolt up to the sway bar. I just removed them at that end cause its easier to get too. I didn't mean removing the whole damn sway bar.

kyb shocks are a heap of toss. avoid them. spend the extra money for damn near anything.

konis are competition level struts. bilsteins are german ride quality road shocks. for a road car, thats my choice.

Do the work yourself as it is not a hard job and all you need to do is rent a spring compressor from your local auto parts store for $10-$15. I swapped the stockers on my old '92 for H&R's in two hour's. You will save yourself a great deal of money by learning to do the simple stuff yourself. I alway's did my own brake job's on all 4 of my 2's, suspension work, IC swap, complete turbo system swap etc etc yadda yadda yadda.

Knowledge and motivation is not only power but a great way to save cash. Damn I should become a MR2 mechanic because I have done it all other than rebuilding an engine which is not hard either unless the internal spec's are changed. On second thought I'll stick with law enforcement !

I put Konis in my car. I love the adjustable settings. I keep them on the softest setting for normal DD and then stiffen them up for a weekend drive. You'll make the most out of them if you track the car though, which I plan to do next year when I turn 18. I'm also running Eibach pro kit springs. I've heard nothing but crap about KYB's, but good stuff about bilsteins.
