suggestions on making the engine bay pretty
I'm in the middle of putting my motor back together and I was curious what input you guys would have on engine bay beautification.
Thanks. |

Move the fuse box to the trunk next to the ECU to open up a good chunk of space in there. Get one of these, MR2 Owners Club Message Board™, to clean it up some and free more space.

Gen3 swap DONE!!

+2 Lol also degrease the crap outta your engine bay, maybe even repaint it. Also I tore out that crappy black heat sheild and got some nice new heat and sound proofing stuff from summit. I think that changed the look of the engine bay a whole lot by itself.
edit: here's a pic of what I'm talking about. This is mine when I was doing my motor swap. ![]() Last edited by TreyMR2; 09-14-2009 at 09:55 PM.. |

![]() + ![]() + ![]() + = ![]() When I get around to a basic wire tuck and a nice set of leads etc it will look a lot better still, there is about $35 in that engine bay polishing by the time you add up sandpaper, paint and the amount of polish used but it looks purdy. I've also been meaning to do what TreyMR2 did to really tidy up the firewall but all in time its still running a flexitube intake ![]() So yeah my vote is with polish and paint because it is cheap and looks good the only downside is its very time consuming |
