my surprisingly win at the dragstrip
ive never been at the dragstrip before so i decided to try it yesterday. so i raced my friend who drives a subaru impreza wrx (2005). we both have never been to dragstrip before. so anyways my reaction time is .687 and his is .567 i know its late but im planning on being better at it.
but what i did not expect is to get 16.734@82.56 MPH. my car is a 93 mr2 NA with I/longtube headers/ my muffler is coming from a 91 turbo mr2. sportline springs stock shocks with 235/40 falken 452 17x8 with 17x7 front his subaru have hks catback exhaust and his pushing more than 14psi of boost. the rest is stock. his time is 16.938@87.35MPH i won. even though its really close but still i won. i was not expecting that considering mine is N/A and his is turbo. im just surprise because before we race i already know im going to lose im counting on that i just wanna see how i would do in the drag and have fun but i did not expect to win over a turbo allwheeldrive car. good times. |

Not a very good driver at all.
When I get my car back together my buddy is dying to race me in his 12.8 mustang. :/ So, We'll see how that goes eventually. |

sorry i missed some words on my last statement. lol. i meant to say is being his car is automatic its a factor against him. he probably just launched wrong thats for sure coz there is no way 130hp car can beat a wrx.

You probably killed him off the line. when my car wa NA i launched by an 07 sti but he blew by me just before i was shifting to 3rd ( kid couldnt drive). last time i went to the track i went 13.4 after the 3sgte swap. This weekend im bolting on the ct27, ats 3inch downpipe, BFGoodrich G-force R1 tires and cranking the boost up even more to race a civic hatch with a poormans type r (gsr block, b16 head) and a gt35 turbo on it looks like a high 12 sec car to me. I cant wait

Stock the WRX is a mid to low 14 second car.
With an exhaust and tune I was able to run a 13.8 at 4000ft (elevation) in my '02, and I only go to the drag strip once a year at most. |
