Mr2's first challange

***Disclaimer***
I am in no way endorsing or "bragging" about street racing, simply re-telling my run in last night.

***Story***
So on my way home from work in my bone stock 91 n/a Hardtop I was stuck behind some unbelievably slow mini-van. Being that I was on a two lane road I just got in the left lane and went around, no point in being stuck when theres two lanes. As I did this I notice a single headlight behind. A younger guy on a bike kept looking over at me and pacing me, looking like he wanted to see what I was all about.. I smiled and just ignored him.

Once stopped at a light, he revved quite a bit and kept nodding, so I figured why the hell not. I punched it and got a good launch, but the bike(as figured) overtook me quickly. Once stopped at a 4 way, he crept up next to me and signaled to a couple open parking spaces.

It was only a Yamaha R6, but still a hell of a lot quicker than my Deuce. Still the guy said he owned a 93 Turbo and when he saw mine he got excited, as not many Mr2's are in the area. We talked about some other car stuff, as I've got a 300zx as well.

Seemed like a cool guy and his buddy driving a single turbo 95 supra offered me to come and grab a beer, but I had to get back home and study for classes. Cool guys and some nice rides, but anyway that's the story.

Now I just need to get moving on swapping the engine and start the build up!

There is actually about 6 Rex's running around my area, several of them are LS-Swapped cars. Damn fast too. I don't know the guy, but another middle age guy in a 06 Z06 twin turbo is pushing close to 600hp, I've seen it, never gotten to see it really in action. Thing is a monster for sure though.

All in all neither of my cars are that fast, but I'm working on them slowing, and eventually will push some serious muscle. just don't have a ton of expendable funds, with college everything comes second.

This is the truth, I knew that a really nasty launch was the only thing that would make it look like my car had anything behind it, I did about the best I think anyone could.

Really nice guys though, sometime I want a ride in his Deuce and the guys Supra. I've got a big sweet spot for Single Supras, there a hell of a car.

agreed, I think that MR2's have more sex appeal. I mean mid-engine, whats to argue!

Supras though are awesome cars!
