Alternator toke a **** help.

Ok so i was driving on the highway when all of a sudden my engine was losing power, so i parked on the service lane & was like wtf.later on found out that my battiery was fine so im thinking my alternator is gone.ok so im working on the car & unhook the alternator but im like wtf i can't take it out of the engine bay.how the F*@K do i remove the alternator for the engine bay the holes are too small, iv tryed throught the top on the cruise control side but the F*@Kin alternator brack is in the way.I know you guys are thinking remove the brack but the last bolt on it is so hard to get to.what the hell was toyota thinking. info 91 toyota mr2 5sfe 2.2 . HELP!!!!

you need to work from the bottom up, lift the car, take out the suspension cross member then I believe that's enough room to clear it, the wheel should come off too. leme see if I can find the link.

Thank you but iv heard of people working it thru the top some how.That sound's like alot of work for just a simple repair like a alternator replacement.

Yesterday i found a way to remove the alternator from the top. thanks guys.I had to remove the cruise control, alternator bracket, some vaccum hoses ect & it come out the top right coner.The only problem was the brack bolts where a bi*ch to get to. what the f*@k was toyota thinking.what a pain lol

You think it's hard on an mr2, try change one on an old 86 Honda accord. Drive shaft had to come out.
