HELP! Making decision to sell the duece!
Need some thoughts on something. I just purchased a 05 G35 and traded in my mustang. Im not broke to the point of "OMG how'm I gonna live?" I could just use some extra bread for catching up. At this point I will be using the G35 for most of the driving unless its really bad weather which is when Id drive the 2 ( sleet snow hail which frequents this area in the off weather months ) and using the duece for grocery quick trips up the street etc. The tags are all out ( which ups my chance for big tickets ), it wont pass inspection and it needs some minor maintenance.
Should I : A) Sell it take the cash and do what I want/need to with it ( Id sell for $1500 ) and then be pissed when the weather turns. B) Sell and buy a diffrent cheap car like a 93 camry or similar C) Just keep it and use it on bad days and try to catch up some time soon eventually by selling other items. tl;dr - theres no way for me to paraphrase this try a new thread. |

If you're not going to fix what needs to be fixed on it and register it, then I'd say sell it to someone who will.
If it's just going to be a winter beater there are better options. Even your G35 with snow tires will do fine. |

You have a good point, the one thing I dont think it will do is pass inspection tho. But the only reason why It would be a beater is because I already own it the paint job is jacked already, and I know for the most part what needs to be addressed on the car. I just dont want my G beat to **** when the weather turns as it so often does down here. Last year we had a sleet/ice storm, covered all of our cars in this thick hard sheet of ice. I had a car cover on the mustang- I dont know if it was the ice or what but while strugling to take it off I saw the driver side mirror hangin off broke. I REALLY dont want to take any cances on that stuff I need to watch the miles on the G as well. But you make a good point, im still deciding : ( |

For those who were interested I got the G, and kept the duece.. im changing my screen name to G2... not really. That is all.
Seriously though I figured it was worth more as a second car then it was as a little extra money. Guess you guys are stuck with me. |

To be honest I would get rid of the G and buy a beater. Then use the extra $$$ for the 2.

Lol man you guys are hard core, my duece probably isnt near as nice as you all's tho, im in texas and have no AC.. its not reliable as a daily driver should be, it has no interior and I need to do some preventative maintenence.
BUT my G is fully loaded 6 speed coupe has everything Ive been wanting for a while now, more money then I wouldve had at one time to fix up the duece. But I see what your saying, from a money standpoint. |

It sounds like you are all ready gutted and ready for the track. Just take what ever you don't need that's in it and sell it and you might have the little extra cash you are hoping for.

At the risk of being in the minority, I'd sell it to somebody who has more time for it, they might restore it as a DD. I'm pretty hardcore too but it sounds like you've kind of moved on as it is and I can see that. But you can still do some good! There's definitely someone out there who wants this '2, sell it to them and make their dream come true.
