Install 94 Tail Light Center Panel?

Ok, I have the link ( MR2 Taillight Modification) remove/install the 1994 tail lights and center panel into earlier model MR2 but it is missing some info. I have the center panel but do not know how to secure it to the 1993 trunk as there are no bolts like my old panel to secure to trunk. How do the 94 and up panels bolt to the 1993 rear?? PS I have used my hammer to make room for the rear back up lights but am lost as to where I secure the panel? I dont see any bolts like where my old stock ones had, 4 bolts. Any help here? Thanks

did you get mounting brackets?

i believe they are part #s
76826-17010 - Retainer (bracket), RH
76827-17010 - Retainer (bracket), LH
should be roughly 15-20$ for each bracket at your local dealer.
9.95 each from lithia

I am very interested in doing this project. I already have the new tail lights but do not have the center piece. Is there anyone out there with suggestions on where to get this part? Any links or company names would be a great help.

What are you looking for, an OEM Center panel or a Carbon Fiber one?

If you want an OEM one, hit up Aaron @ Litha Toyota of Springfield (forum vendor).

Here's a link to Lithia's sub forum

Lithia Toyota of Springfield - Toyota MR2 Message Board

If you want a Carbon one, try these guys

For a Carbon one with Reverse Light Holes

CarBen Fibre Creations - Rev3+ Rear Centre Panel With Reverse Light Holes In Carbon

For a Carbon one with Shaved Reverse Lights

CarBen Fibre Creations - Rev3+ Rear Centre Panel In Carbon

Also, if you want a black or white fiberglass one with Reverse light holes (the picture will show the carbon one, but this link is for the fiberglass one

CarBen Fibre Creations - Rev3+ Rear Centre Panel With Reverse Light Holes In Fibreglass

If you don't already have the OEM Rev 3 retainer brackets mentioned above, you'll need to get them too. I've quoted that post below for easy reference.

94+ tail light conversion

So I'm pretty new to all this, but I want to do the 1994+ tail light conversion on my '92 MR2. Do I need all the parts and supplies listed on this post? -->

SEARCH FIRST! 94+ Tail light set

Also I don't want to put the stock 1994+ lights on. I was thinking more aftermarket lights like these --->

1990-1999 TOYOTA MR-2 SW20 KOUKI SMOKE TAIL LIGHTS LAMP - eBay (item 320616185653 end time Nov-18-10 11:06:58 PST)

So with that in mind, what exactly do I need to put those lights onto my '92? So far I get that I need a new center panel and the 76826-17010 RH and 76827-17010 LH Retainer bracket. But that's pretty much all I'm understanding so far.

Overall, I want to do the '92 to 94'+ conversion, using the above mentioned tail lights (or some similar to those), what do I need?

thank you
