Exhaust wrap

Would it be cleaver to put exhaust wrap on my muffler and exhaust pipes?

yes, hugging it daily. the love for this car is boundless. The exhaust is already wrapped I just thought wrapping my big ass flowmaster could cut back on heat.

I wouldn't - exhaust wrap voids warranties (if you have a DP or a fairly new exhaust) because it causes pipes to crack. If your car is mostly stock or you don't do competitive racing I would stay away from it.

yea exhaust wrap isnt good for exhausts as it traps in water and causes rust and also traps heat causing heat spikes when the car is turned off that can cause the metal to fatigue and crack

all this is a acceptable trade off to stop it boiling your sensitive engine parts
so i would leave it just on the headers etc
