yes its possible but (ive used a dodge commings turbo on a dsm) but trucks tend to have a large displacement and the turbos are sized for that large displacement so if your thinking of trying a truck turbo on your mr2 its probale going to not spool till a real high rpm

if you wont to buy a turbo for a mr2 im selling mine for 250$

you also gotta keep in mind that an aftermarket turbo won't just bolt up, the exhaust manifold flange will be different, so will the downpipe(if using stock 3sgte downpipe its one of the most restrictive downpipes there is and is probaly too small for a truck turbo) also there is coolant lines and oil lines to worry about and then as said before the displacement, what displacement is the truck versus the 2.0L 3sgte because you don't want your turbo to start spooling at 4500rpm

I use a HY-35 off a Cummings turbo truck. It's a pretty easy to work with turbo and tough as $h!t. I think it's cool. It's super cost effective and they are tough, why not?

And to over all answer the question any turbo works in any application but there is usually work involved but
work is involved with anything that isn't OEM. Not to mention some turbos are better for some applications than
others.
