I am 30 and kids do slow you down, but I do what I can. I have upgrade fuel rail, fpr, throttle body inlet, and downpipe. It took me 3 years to get this.

I'm 57, had my 2 for 11 years.
Modifications inside include Momo Racing Line steering wheel, TRD shift knob, custom leather shift boot by Manjit, TRD short shift kit, SpeedSource Brass
Bushing kit to tighten shifts, Alpine 6 pack CD changer, Blitz turbo timer,
auto dimming mirror from a Solara.
Outside mods include 1993 front lip spoiler, JDM solid marker strips

grill cavity. Frunk gas struts replace the stock prop rod as does
a gas strut (courtesy of Ken Blake) in the engine compartment.
Under the hood a KO Racing downpipe, ATS air tube, TRD oil
cap, TRD rad cap and KO Racing under hood shroud with twin
Spal fans, an early Celica underhood lamp (Last Chance Garage

Pro-kit springs and Two’s R Us Prothane suspension bushing kit.
Konig Wolfrace 17 x 7.5 alloy rims shod with Yokohama Parada

I would expect the older mr2 owners to have maybe less modded cars, but you never know.

How old are you?

Trying to get a feel for the average age of the mr2 owner.

Oh, and although its not in the poll, would you say your car is more purely for transportation and nothing more than getting you from point A to pioint B and the occaisonal Point C, Or is this car your Toy would you say?
I find it funny that the you young guys in your teens early twenties are your age going on ___. Once you get a few years under your belt you try to stay as close as your last birthday... That being said, I JUST turned 38 in March, married, Police Officer (Read:Gets to wring out MR2 without fear of tickets) and have basically stock 1994 Turbo. Exhaust changed to KORacing when OEM rusted, Changed the stock airbox out to try a APEXi intake. Might make some easily reversible Body mods that I can change out for a few weeks if I need a change of scenery.

Waaaaaay over in their Police Cars or their personal cars? Ive done both, Actually took the 2 to the Academy Driving Course and was seconds ahead of my best lap time from my Dodge Charger Cruiser. This is the fun of being a cop. Well that and the weird things you see everyday... You cant make this stuff up!

Maybe he's baiting you to race? I chased down a red Ford Probe once cause it caught the corner of my eye with the lights up and I thought it was a 2. Come to think of it, I should have ticked him for driving a probe and not an MR2.

You shoulda....I was cruising US 1 in West Palm Beach when a lady cop pulled me over in a red '88 SC. Funny part was I had four cars all around me, all going the same speed, and she had to maneuver around the other cars to get to me...I asked her if an ex-boyfriend drove a '2'...she was not amused.....stupid ticket...

49 years old, fourth MR2 (first 3 Mk1s, 3rd an SC)

haha .. i might be changing my career options .. haha ..

i gotta admit them dodge charger cop cars look bada$$ .. around here there all blacked out, but i think they need the low profile lights on top instead of the huge ones .. if only they came in manual, then again there dodge so nevermind ..

i was talking about in there cop cars, ussually the crown vics (if thats what they are?)

lol, the cops around here will make stuff up so they can get there tickets .. its funny b/c at the beggining of each month you dont see many cops or people pulled over, but the last week of each months is like everyone is a murderer ..

Wow, I cant beleive I made this thread 3 duces ago and its still going.

I bought my 3rd MR2 last week. I picked it up for $500 and it has a/c and gets great gasmileage.
I took these photo's of it when my MR2's were out playing in the street with one another. They were just meeting for the first time, like long lost brothers or something.

Should get me around comfortably and affordably while the red one is getting a new engine. The red MR2 smokes bad from bad rings I suspect and has no a/c which makes it hell to drive as my only car when its 95 degrees outside sitting in traffic.

Atleast I feel no pain at the pump with the yellow MR2.

I'm 30yrs old. I purchased my N/A when I was 17, which I traded in a year later for my 91 turbo. So, I've had my Turbo Deuce for almost 12 years now.
