I'm 40+ and have the physique of an 18 year old. Debt free also.
I take care of my vehicles and treat them as valued investments. No mods as that's not what I'm into. I'd rather spend the money on driving the car to the vacation or event. That's where the memories pile up and to me are much more rewarding. Most (not all) of the modifications that I've seen to autos & motorcycles have dramatically decreased the reliability, longevity & value of the vehicle. I'm 52 and have had my '91T since about '93 or '94. I couldn't afford it when they came out. I think the thing about older guys not modding their cars, is that over time people realize that "extra" money spent on cars, is a money losing proposition. I put a Gen 3 swap in my car, only because I had to do something. I will do a few things, to it probably, but I won't do anything to get away from the Toyota reliability..........

Nothing its just the Fram oil filter is the cheapest filter you can put on a car and there rumored to cause engine failure. I would spend the extra buck and stick with the Toyota OEM Oilfilter if I were you to gauruntee against failure from a cheap faulty fram filter. |
