Brake pads
Whatever was on it when I got it, they are soft I don't need good brakes I hardly use them that hard I just throw sideways or chop a gear.

Rollcages
Whacked together cage in my garage, it looks like cr@p (mostly surface rust) but its strong as hell and stiffens the car as well. Not much to see really.

Pulleys
Nope put a 3sge in it

Tires
15" Slicks for tarmac
13" Wides for slick surface
14" Rally grips for gravel
I can elaborate on this but I have heaps of different tyre setups.

Suspension
Stock supercharged with KYB inserts front and stock rear oil shocks, more potent for gravel than it sounds

Engine
3sge gen 2

Body
Yep it's still there

Seats
Stock, looking for race seats to get my head down away from the cage while restraining me a bit better.

Gauges
Stock, except for a MASSIVE oil light. I don't need guages as such I shift depending on wheelspin and surface so a shiftlight etc etc would be pointless

Whatever
Wheels are generally the lightest I have, I have regreased all the wheel bearings with a uber awesome grease.

I made the strut braces myself using square tube and heavy flat bar, they are pretty heavy but they don't flex at all and I abuse my car.

The car is gutted to the point of obsession, all unused brackets have been cut off. All interior features, all unused stuff is gone. Its really bare.

Basically I run a gutted car with an engine swap and a pair of front shocks. I tweak the suspension angles each time and apart from that nothing much is special. I don't need flash gear for gravel I do really well as it stands the car is well balanced and the ride height and spring rates are right on. It just hunkers down and bolts like nobodies business. Its a case of I have thought about what I need and used the least amount of money possible to achieve it. Kinda anti-climatic really

good for you (not being a--) do what you can with what you have. and try to be creative but not sacrifice safety you might want to do something with your brakes at least but have fun still working on my car just small things that I can afford for now I work in an upholstery shop so. My car isnt running right now so i dont know

^ Thanks

For gravel I quite seriously don't need brakes I just lock the wheels to slow or just throw sideways you scrub off speed faster like that, did add a race seat that made a difference much better positioning. I am doing a bit of aero work and stuff for the upcoming season adding a turbo, stand alone, new rear brakes perhaps a brake balance valve and redo the lines, new set of tyres hopefully and at some point polycarbonate windows. The mr2 is actually quite an epic gravel car it keeps up with much higher horsepower cars that might be partially the suicidal driving style I have though

My next build when I get around to it is going to much less reserved doing one for national spec events and the road with full cert just trying to decide what hubs I use right now want 5x114 studs, mr2 turbo ones would be good with big brakes but I want something cheap and easy to get coil overs to adapt/bolt to as well as steering and such so it all still functions, kinda hard to just stumble upon something that will fit for the right price.
