Budget Tool Review: Mastercraft (Canadian Tire) Ratcheting Box End Wrench

Again, another Canadian Tire special. Reg. Price: $42.99CAD Sale Price: About $12CAD.

Definitely worth it. This is one of those things you might not use a lot, but if you can pick them up at the sale price, you'll be happy to have them. I've only used them a couple times, and only have ever used the 10mm one, but again, at this price you can't go wrong.

Specs
  • 8 Sizes
  • Switchable direction (don't have to flip wrench over)
  • 25 degree offset

the heads of those split.. they're also quite bulky. better than nothing i suppose, but a good 40-50 dollar investment in a set of gearwrench brand wrenches is a fantastic one. much more compact and durable!

i prefer the SK ratchet wrenches over everything, but its kind of a step up in price too.

They're definitely a little bulky. They do have a lifetime warranty though, so if they break I can just go grab some new ones- I don't have to count on them for my job.

I cracked some pretty seized bolts with them today, no head breakage. I'm happy.

Back on sale this week at Canadian Tire, for those interested

i use my tools a lot, and have extremely high demands from them. ive broken that style sometimes the first few times ive used them.. a few others i still have and still work.. just by design, those usually split.
