I need to borrow a MK2 crossmember

Doesn't matter what year. I need to get a parts car moved and it's pretty hard to do without wheels. I'll only need it for about a week and then I can return it.

? you could borrow mine but we would have to remove it from my car, since i dont drive it much

That is a good question. He owns roughly half the known MK2s in the universe.

The crossmembers are identical. Maybe we're talking about a different part here... because when someone says Crossmember, what I think of is the giant piece of steel held to the body with four bolts, one on each corner, and then the rear strut rods and three more bolts for a tranny mount.

i think what he is saying is it would be easier to borrow one from someone who has one already removed/left over from a swap than to take one off of his car

Why would anyone change it from a swap? It's the same part in every car. Except the 91/92 and 93+ ones. They changed them in 93+, but they're no different between turbo/NA so no one would ever need a different one.

I have the one on my wreck, I can pull it off for you if you want I just bought a compressor and impact gun with insurance money so it should only take me a second to go zap it off........... I have been meaning to call you anyway but Ive been to busy lately to deal with my mr2.

some people buy rear clips... on the clip would be an extra crossmember
