Gen 2 3sgte near marietta or east cobb?
Is there anyone with a gen 2 3sgte around here that is willing to let me borrow their o2 sensor and AFM in order to determine if mine is bad?

i noticed there is a white mr2 in a subdivison on Post Oak Tritt near the corner of Sandy Plains...wonder who that is. anyway, its running super rich accorind to the many failed emissions reports i have. it hesitates/bucks in low gear sometimes. i'll just copy/paste my thread from the other board:
For the past 4 months ive had a bad hesitation problem. Sometimes in 1st gear, it bucks bad and then after a bit of hesitation (around 6 seconds) it fixes itself. What I noticed is that when in hesitation mode the manifold pressure is higher than what it is normally and i can sort of hear a popping noise. I also hear the turbo push air even when not in boost. When its hesitating the vacuum could be 10mmHg or if i push the gas hard enough, i can get boost when hesitating. And after about 6 seconds it pulls through and I see the manifold pressure drop (I try to keep the throttle in the same position for diagnostic purposes when this happens). Even when it is not bucking, the car generally seems a lot slower than it used to be. This problem is making me fail emissions (3 times so far). The reports from the emissions are: Reading / Allowed HC 283 / 132 CO% 8.83 / 0.73 NOx 39 / 945 CO+CO2 18.3 / 6.0min What do these numbers tell me? Things that have been replaced: intake manifold gasket T-VIS gasket IAC valve gasket throttlebody gasket valvecover gasket numerous vacuum lines got a crack in EGR pipe when taking out intake manifold - got EGR blockoff plates Seafoamed it about 2 times distributer cap, rotor - all Toyota OEM sparkplugs about 1,000 miles old - the recommended ones corrected timing from 30 degrees advanced to 10 degrees just put in new Toyota OEM sparkplug wires. the emissions test was without the new ones. I ordered a fuel filter last night. well see how that goes. |

I have an AFM at the house. How many miles are on the O2 sensor? Do the car have a cat?

the o2 sensor probably has 2000-3000 miles on it, and a new cat was put in at the same time as the new 02 sensor

probably a boost/vacuum leak. No cel means you probably have a leak somewhere. Check all the hoses from the turbo to the throttle body. Usually more than half the time its because of a leak somewhere causes the bucking.
