do you by chance know if it has rivited or bolted oil baffles? the prep time is really what will determine the turnaround. if they are bolted oil baffles, i could feasably send it out the same day it gets here (assuming it comes to me early enough). if it has rivited oil baffles, then i will need about 72 hours.

I have no idea, if I were to take it off it would be fairly obvious by looking at the bottom correct?

yeah, take it off, turnit upside down, if you see a way i can remove the baffles, cool, if they appear to not be removable, then i have to use different methods of prepping. i cant use blasting media on a VCwith rivited oil baffles because if even one piece of media gets into your expensive motor.......well, you get the idea. there's no way you could prove it was my fault, but i would feel like total smacked ass if that ever happened to anyone. so i just dont blast vc's with rivited oil baffles, i use a stripping solution that works wonders (as well it should for $60/gal)

ic, I'm guessing that you have a big drum of it that you soak them in then? I'll find out tomorrow if they are riveted or bolted on!

Got the valve covers and they look good. Not sure what you were not happy with but I'm satisfied with them
. I probably should have gone with the full chrome, but I thought I'd be spending all my time polishing them everytime I opened the engine bay I'll try to post some pics shortly. |

if you were to get them powdercoated, i could smooth them out and coat over it, but theres no way i could simply fill in that metal and sand it to a smooth finish just to be hand polished again.

Jb weld is non conductive and thus powdercoat would not adhere to it
