Yeah, that might be it. It's not shiny on the face of the Type C's, and it looks like it's got some wave/ripple type of pattern, don't know how to describe it.

Here's a pic. Had to take it without the flash. With the flash on, you just see the reflection of the light. It's had to see but you can see the difference on the front of the face and the side of the spokes.

It's got lines/ripple pattern to it and its not random like you would spray it on. The pattern goes around uniformly (don't think you can spray it like that), thats the pattern I was trying to go after. Whatever that stuff is, I want it on the work rims too!

Stephen,
Since the face has the chrome base coat, would you suggest using the zymol on the whole wheel or just the lip?

actually, i would just use a damp microfiber cloth for the whole wheel and not even worry about the wax if you are going to only use it for show. the wax would only be worth while if you were daily driving them.

edit: the candy top coat will protect the chrome base coat so no worries there.
