Ok...seriously....this is painting not electroplating. You wont match any powder to the effect of triple chrome plating. Plus....I'm sure jazzcornet doesnt want to have to deal with chromic acid and the tremendous labor involved in this anyway.

However, in reality, you will be very happy with the chrome like appearance of these powders. They are durable, easy to clean, they dont fingerprint and smear as easy as chrome does but most importantly, they can be done for a fifth of the cost (at least) and he has a really really fast turnaround time, so your car wont be laid up for months.

Were talking the difference between hundreds and possibly a thousand dollars of work here!

unless of course i could get the hookup on a $15k tripple chrome plating kit and another $3k worth of polishing stuff from caswellplating.com, i would be more than happy to do some electroplating

hey..no problem. We get dozens of people a week calling about "chroming their bumpers" and stuff and we are like..."ok, a kit that size would cost yor $18K".

People dont realize that there is a reason that chrome plating is so expensive. if you are looking at getting stuff chromed for real, you are much better off paying someone to do it than buying your own kit.

Buying a triple chrome kit would be more for people like jazzcornet here, that have talent and that are looking to start a small business cuz thats what you are really buying....a small business.

For the price, I'd stick with the powder coat over actual chrome. Agree it's not the same, but who can actually afford to do everything in chrome.

the rules are:

you tell me what color you want your valve cover, you send me your valve cover, you pay for the coating at the group buy price, i coat it, and send it back to you.

the only catch, we need to have ten people in order to get the discounted price. if you'd like, i can put your name down that you would like to participate. once we get ten people, i will contact you and you can then send me your valve cover to get coated

and you sir, you....well,.....grrrrr...if you hold your horses, you'll be able to install them sooner than you think. i have everything prepped and ready to be coated, i just have to push back about 8 customers to get to your stuff. i've been pulling 14 hour days at the shop to try to stay on top of things.

your man jazz 14hrs days, I feel you just did 70hrs last week. Yeah sign me up to that color you had on post #10 i think extreme crome for 3sgte gen 2 valve cover.
