i personally have wideband, egt, and fuel pressure in my pod. i will spend a bit of r&d on the block off shroud and see what i can include on this product.

as far as availability, my fabricator is still making the mold. i just gave him the original piece on thursday so we are most definately at the very beginning stages of this product. i'll make updates and posts as things progress. you can trust that

I'm confused as to what you're selling... the entire center panel, or the gauge pod plastic insert that you have to:
1) cut out the stock piece
2) insert and glue/attach the gauge pod
3) fill/blend the gap

If the entire center panel, how about a 'core charge' where you can be refunded after you ship in your factory center panel...

also, it may be cool if you also made vent holes to go in where you dont have a gauge. Like a circular 52mm vent that rotated or something in the hole so you could still use 1-2 vents there, and have 1-2 gauges or something. Or at least to use as a filler for someone gradually buying the gauges they want as well...

And you could pop them out when you have a gauge to put in there...

Its the entire center panel. There's no need to return a core because these will be brand new molds. I'm not using old center panels to make these. I'm simply using my original to make a mold and then completely reproduced using high quality grade plastic and/or carbon fiber

although there's nothing that says you cant just resell your stock center panel for decent money. those things are always like gold when you see them on the boards

^^^Sweet. Well, that explains the price. And did you understand my idea for the 52mm-style vents?

Unless you drilled into it, it's not permanent. You can always swap the gauges over to the pure sex pod...

Jazzcornet-
What process are you using to make the parts? Injection molding or something like silicone molding? I was thinking, for an economic option, people could send you their center panels and you could cut out the gauge section and you just pour the mold to adhere to the rest of the preexisting center panel.

My guess is just fiberglass.

Ok. So the mold came out half decent! We are almost ready to start mass reproducing these. Here's the catch, the price is going up slightly. This group buy will include the a/c block off foam and cover and the materials for that are a bit more expensive than I had originally planned for. It's only going up $20 if we can get at least ten people. If we can get twenty, I am prettu confident I could bring the price down to an even $100. The regular price for this kit is $169 so this group buy is definately well worth it! As it stands, I'm taking a huge loss at this group buy price concidering it cost me $300 just to get the mold made. I'll start taking pre-orders as soon as production begins. Stay tuned

Even with the price variation I'm still interested, but what's "half decent?" I'm looking for a part of OEM quality.

"Half decent" is my bad attempt at being humble. They came out effin awesome and are even lighter and more stable than the original!

There's not enough room for someone to open up these holes to accommodate a 60 mm gauge, is there?

the holes are most definately not bigenough to even bore out to fit a 60mm but hey, anything ispossible right???

as for the a/c, just the center vents will be blocked off which in turn forces more air flow through the side vents.

When you get a final one done, I (as I ma sure a lot of people..) Would love to see some high-res shots of an OEM piece and this piece side-by-side. Color differences in the black would really make this an undesirable part. If it matches perfect, they'll go like hotcakes.

Even w/ the increase in price, if it fits OEM and looks OEM, I am totally down for at least one . Just one more step on the way of deleting the ugly a-pillar! lol
