They are talking about putting the AVC-R where the stock ashtry is. Jazz mentioned he liked the idea and might do it anyways for himself, and Luni offered to send him his ashtry to use, so he can have a piece proto-typed off of it.

I got the avc-r at this place and I'm not convinced about of course it looks good, but more important is that you can't read anything very well the pics >> click to see anything you must put your head direct over the display, so I thought the avc-r should be placed like the 3 gauges, so you can drive, see anything and can change the settings without any danger Last edited by pit bull; 09-10-2008 at 08:39 AM. |

The AVC-R or S-AFC holder spot would look cool if it was blended in to the profile of the center piece a little better...

I liked that idea better than the S-AFC anyways. I'd rather save up and run a stand-alone like hydra than screw with the S-AFC. Once you get a stand-alone the S-AFC is pointless. Besides, your design allows 4 gauges in the dash piece while keeping the A/C vent. It's like the best of both worlds. So, I vote your idea over the A-VCR and S-AFC.

thats the prototype. you can see a bit of bubbling on the side from the heat stress of making the mold. in the pictures on the first page, you can see it was all flush, but after using it to make the mold, it started to outgas in the heat. no worries though, they told me i wouldnt be able to use the original piece so i'm pretty happy about that.
i will still do a carbon version but the price hasnt been set yet. if we can get more people involved, i'm sure the price will go down |

makes it our cars look like 350z or dodge vipers, i almost creamed my pants when i saw these
!Count me in when they are ready to be sold, i'd first like to see the CF pics, but mostlikely would buy a plastic one. I will be using a simple AFC-2 for my fuel needs and would love to see one of these sweet A$$ triple pods in my car and set up so i can easily fit my afc in the ashtray area. |

i need opinions in reference to the a/c block off plate......
i have found using craft foam has worked very nicely to block the air. now the question is, how should we make it stay there? i used gorilla tape for temporary adhesion. i was thinking maybe silicone? glue? i know most of you dont want to have to use something that cant be converted back to stock (although silicone and glue are both easy enough to remove), so i need some ideas. |

? good question i think using the middle as a useable vent might be a good option, however i think i can just use the side ones for my application. |
