GI: what do you guys want in carbon fiber?

throw outsome ideas and let me know what you would pay for them. my fabricator has a plethora of colored carbon kevlar as well as regular carbon fiber. so let us know what you want to see in carbon fiber and maybe we can host another group buy!

I want 3 things CF for sure on my MK1

1. Hood (front)
2. Hood (Engine)
3. Sunroof replacement piece

How about do-luck style air scoops for cheaper the do-luck!!! I swear they think their stuff is made out of gold!

How about the full dash? Interior is the place to start. Hood is good, too.

That way the car will be SUPER light

Interior for sure.

Gauge cluster (upper and lower), shifter surround, a-pillars (2 - 3 gauge) and matching blank for other side, Door skins, etc etc...

most definately, i just need to source out a sunroof for the mold. i'm fairly confident that will be a hot ticket item

and because they are gold, i doubt i would ever get a core for the mold

as for all the interior parts, i was thinking of making a kit with absolutely every plastic piece in the interior as well as the dash and center arm rest. i would need a lot of interest for that though since getting the molds made would be rather pricey

for you mark1 cats out there. i have absolutely zero mk1 parts. the only way we would be able to do this is to gather enough interest in a specific part so that buying the part, getting the mold, and reproducing them wont put me in debt too terribly far

wheels, doors, interior panels/dash, t-tops, roof, hood, trunk, wing, fenders, side mirrors, engine lid, solid underbody panels.

All this in real 100% CF, not that fiberglass w/ a layering of CF crap

My mkII will be down this entire winter, so I could pretty much ship you any and every piece you would need interior wise.

i have justevery interior piece except the map light cover, shifter surround, and stock a-pillar.

if we can get enough interest, i'd personally like to replicate every single interior plastic piece in carbon fiber (my personal application will be green weaved carbon kevlar, but the regular carbon will be offered).

And yes, as soon as I can source a sunroof, I will have a mold made for carbon fiber
