I actually did a red unit, and red seems to have the worst hotspots. Red being on the low energy side of the visible light spectrum doesn't like to spread out inside acrylic diffuser inside the CC unit. Not to say that it was really horrible, but it was noticeable.

Try turning them around in the hole. LED's are polarity sensitive. They only work if the + goes to the right lead.

I think that the white background with red indicators will look really sharp. Climate control and hazard button will be $55 shipped.

I have plenty of green indicators, but I ran out of white background LEDs. If you really want it done, I'll go ahead and order them for you.

Hi Ben,
I want to give my my climate control and AC switch, and hazard. I want to do blue in the climate and AC. I ordered a new AC switch, and can give you everything when I receive it. I will give you a call so we can arrange a hook up time/place but can you PM me your phone ? What do you normally charge for this service? Just charge me the same as anyone else even though I'm local, its cool with me. A |

It will be about 5 days or so until they get here. You can send the unit whenever it works best for you.Quote:

I can now do fog light switches as well. So hazard and fog light switch conversions are now included when I do a climate control unit.

For the Tach/Speedo part of the cluster, these are the ones you want:
WLED-x5 LED Wide Angle LED bulb 12 VDC 5-LED Wedge Base bulb (194/168 type) Super Wide Viewing Angle bulb uses 4 radially mounted LEDs aiming out the sides and one High Flux LED on top With built-in voltage regulator Select LED Color $ 2.99 Quantity Product Price Base Shipping Options Subtotal 1 WLED-x5 LED Wide Angle LED bulb $ 2.99 $ 0.00 Cool White WLED-CW5 0.95 $ 3.94 You want the ones that have the LED's that are pointed out radially. This will minimize hot/cold spots. These are the ones I used, and I have pretty even lighting. Recommend you buy one more than you need. I did that, and I am glad I did as one of my LED's was bad. |
