Custom R1?

so this is a question for Loki, i was wondering, if i were to replace the vibrant muffler on the R1 exhaust system with a universal blitz nur spec muffler, would it sound about the same as the blitz nur spec system, cause i like the look of the R1 about a million times better, and the growel is nice too, but i like the throatier sound of the blitz muffler more.

So what im asking is, would it sound about the same, as in having the same throaty growel of the nur spec system instead of a ricier tone like the vibrant muffler (i dont know how much piping plays in sound characteristics, im assuming its not a whole lot if they are both 3" piping)?

could i replace the muffler with that if i wanted (i.e. bolt up somewhat the same and stick out about the same etc.)?

and if i pay for the piping and the full cost of the blitz muffler could i get this custom made? i only want it if i can retain the non-ricey growel of the blitz system though.

I can't honestly say I would know how it would sound. I imagine it would be very close in sound to the N1, as it is pretty much pipe with the muffler attached as is the R1 -- though the R1 is fully 3" where the N1 starts out slightly less than 3". The muffler sound absorption is going to be the biggest contributor I would think, and the pipe routing a little less except where the length has a resonance with a particular RPM (given the speed of sound).

I would take $190 off of the price of the exhaust if I used your muffler. The muffler can be no longer than 18" from tip to the inlet side of the case in order to fit/work. Also I would need to know what the diameter of the case is.

This is why I love dealing with KO Racing! They never talk out of their ass! Never! They are trustworthy.

I had my custom exhaust fabricated by Kris @ KO Racing and I absolutely adore it! He knows what he is talking about!
