Road Rage Kit Questions

The dynograph posted here , is that the turbo kit with only a boost controller on a stock 3SGTE? Stock fuel and computer?

Should one expect the hotpipe to line up with the turbo in the stock mounted position, or not? Do the kits differ?

Does the downpipe bolt to the stock location?

it may support 350rwhp.. but what if i want some power to my front wheels HUH?

seriously, why do they say rwhp anyways? when you're talking about wheel hp you're talking about drive wheels.. and if you're running AWD with the power spread out unevenly i'm sure you'd mention crank HP instead.. weird.

The stock hotpipe will line up well enough to bolt on, but you may not be able to use the brace that connects the hotpipe to the valve cover. I took that off even when I had a stock turbo since it transmits a lot of the heat from the valve cover to the intercooler pipe.

It's a solid 300whp turbo, but probably not a lot more on the 3sgte.

I just don't like the look of the engine without the bracket, looks thrown together. Perhaps one could be fabricated?

Don't know really, I don't have the intercooler in the stock location so I couldn't tell you if it fit with it or not. Perhaps a slightly longer coupler would work, or you could buy KO's replacement hotpipe, which looks a lot better than the stock one and it wouldn't look like you were missing a bracket...

The dynograph on our site was on a car tuned with the Hydra EMS by RickyB. Same boost level, the only difference was the turbine housings. Ricky did comment that he thought that engine might be a little on the low side for power, but that tells me it is just a good example to use.

The stock hot-pipe bracket most likely would need to be removed, and it is possible to make a simple bracket to reattach it to the head.

The downpipe does exit in the stock location, and so you should have no issue mounting any exhaust that works with the stock primary cat.
