I have the TKO 2.5 w/ 7"cans. I like them a lot. The sound is mellow, deep and full of bass. Car has a beautiful hum to it. It looks great from the rear as well. Lots of compliments wherever the car is. One question though...What can I do to keep my chrome tips from rusting? We havent had a lot of rain this summer and its never seen snow.... seems like some slag particles from welding may have splashed on the tips and is starting to corrode the chrome.

Which exhaust do you have? All of our exhausts use polished SS tips, so they won't rust. If you have chrome tips that are rusting, the best bet would be to occasionally polish them with chrome polish like from Turtle Wax.

Ive used a metal polish especially for chrome pipes that ive used on my motorcycle exhaust, but there seem to be pits or maybe spit from welding that appear to be the cause of the rust. I will take photos and post tomorrow.

If it is weld spatter, then assuming it isn't too harsh, you could knock it off with a sharp instrument (knife or razor) and then repolish the tips at that point.

There isn't enough straight length there to do so, but with shorter or modified mufflers, something like that should be possible.

The sale is on now -- prices are on the website when you click on the individual item. Also, the system would not be technically emissions legal in CA I believe as I think the CA cars had a secondary cat that would be eliminated with the TKO. If your car does not have a secondary cat from the factory, then no problem.

Look to where the muffler mates to the b-pipe at the back of the car behind the rear cross member and towards the driver's side of the car. See if there is only pipe going to these flanges on either side, or if there is a large cast piece on one side of the flange (being the cat).
