Ya that sounds great. Hey Bern do you know yet what the shipping costs, duties and taxes are gonna be on your shipment?

Hi Kris,
Shipping was $77.60 for 2 lips, taxes here are 13% so about $75 for 2 lips, and duties/brokerage will likely be another $25-50 (I'm guessing, brokerage is supposed to be about $15, but I have no idea about duties). Personally, I gave up after a year of searching for a second hand 93+ lip, and since shipping, taxes, duties are split 2 ways, I'm more than happy. My local Toyota stealership wanted 551.00 for the lip and another 137.00 for the retainers. If you drive an MR2, $20-$50 is (unfortunately) dust in the wind. Outstanding service I might add! |

Perhaps we can get more BC'ers in on a group buy like Bern organized.

Ya that would be fantastic. I don't know the best way to work this though. Ship the whole package to one persons house and then that person would ship the rest out. But how would everyone pay the person that has to do all the shipping the extra shipping price?
By the way I'm going to school in Thunder Bay Ontario so I'm not at home right now to do all this extra shipping. I will be home during spring break Feb. 14-24 so I guess I could do it then. Kris |

That's exactly what Bern and I did. Basically we called Aaron at Lithia, asked him for the cost of the lip and then split the sipping between us.
Each of us called with out credit cards and paid for the lip + half the shipping so when the lip arrives we will only have to pay the taxes and stuff. (covered by the guy at the house the lip is getting delivered to) and then I'm paying him half of what thta is when I pick it up |

Yeah, we were able to split it right away at Lithia, and whoever gets the lips pays the extra taxes, etc. I think this is a great way to protect both people, especially when it's a larger GB. For example, Adrenaline knows all my personal info, where I live, etc, and on the flip side, I know he will want his lip since it's already paid for. Not to say that I was at all concerned dealing with him, but in the case of a multi person GB, it's best to be safe...we've all seen some crazy buyer/seller feedback threads!
And as for doing a GB to BC and then reshipping into the interior, well, IMO I would arrange some sort of a pick up plan. For a part that is around $400 after shipping, taxes, etc, I'd be willing to drive to pick it up. |

Sure, I'm going to see if I can get some others in on a group buy. Sound good?
I might be at Silverstar next month, so maybe we can avoid shipping to me. |

For some reason, even though we're in Oregon, shipping to ON is cheaper than to BC. UPS is quoting $91.03 for two lips. Again, that's just shipping and does not include brokerage fees, duty, taxes, etc. The two lower extensions below the bumper are priced out below. Neither the front lip nor these are currently in stock in the US in yellow, so we would have to see if they are available from Japan. It would be a solid week if they're in stock in Japan, and longer if they need to come from the supplier, and there's a possibility they may be out of stock, discontinued, or the supplier may decline to fill the order. In other words there's no guarantee of availability. 52152-17011-F0 - 16.43 - Extension, rear bumper RH 52153-17011-F0 - 16.43 - Extension, rear bumper LH |

52152-17011-F0 - 16.43 - Extension, rear bumper RH
52153-17011-F0 - 16.43 - Extension, rear bumper LH Do you have these in Super White (043) or (040)? Could I get a shipping quote to Hamilton, Ontario L8M 2H9 CANADA (same addy as the lips you sent, got the tracking number btw, thanks!). Any chance we could use USPS? I was going to get mine painted by a shop, but perhaps this may be cheaper? |

Well if it's just me ordering how much would it cost to ship one lip and the rear bumper extensions. Is there a way to find out the status on the yellow pieces without me paying? Thnx

Shipping on one lip to that postal code would run $60.26 + brokerage fees + tax + duty + drink + popcorn + parking, which isn't much cheaper than two. But the good news is that I can still get the yellow lip and extensions are still available from Japan, as are the white extensions. So unless someone made a mistake, I can still get them if you need them!

Just FYI an update on the lips via UPS to Ontario...
Total cost was: parts + shipping + exchange rate + GST and PST (13%) + brokerage fee ($64.63). Should arrive this week! |
