Brake Light Switch?

...well, my brake lights won't turn off and they stay on. Ncturnal gave me the part number 84340-30070. But the places I called said it was $58 - $61 dollars. I found a shattered piece of plastic on the carpet of my car (Underneath the pedals), looked like this...

Any help/solution?

I'll call you if I haven't checked back with this in the next few hours or so.

84340-30070 is the brake light switch for '91-'92 cars with cruise control (other years and other cars wikll use different switches). Club price on that is $45.41.

The plastic piece is the bushing that goes on the brake clevis pin. When it breaks, the pedal has more slop than it used to and no longer pushes the switch high enough to make contact. Just adjust the switch down a turn or 2 and you should be fine until you can replace the bushing. Your switch is probably fine.
