Quote: Distributor

I need a new distributor for my 1991 NA. Is this a part that you can get?
(Not the cap or rotor I have those on the way...)

Thanks

Yes, I can get them. Do you mind if I ask what's wrong with the one you have?

19235-74110 - $186.13 - "Housing kit" (everything but cap & rotor)

The shop it's at informed me that oil was leaking onto/into it and it needed to be replaced. I trust the guy (ie he's not trying to screw me), so I figured I'd look up the part myself and see if I could get it cheaper! Going through you IS cheaper, but I think he already ordered it... I'll talk to him tomorrow.

Thank you!

Uh, aren't there seals there that can be replaced?

Yes. Toyota does not offer them but they are available. That's why I wanted to ask about what sort of failure it was. You can get a dsitributor reseal kit from kbox that will allow you to disassemble the distributor and replace the seal inside that is causing the oil leak.

http://www.kbox.ca/ if you want to take a look.
