91 Turbo brake pad support plates?

These are the little clips that hold the brake pads correct? If so, can you price me out the front set and I need one of the smaller ones for the rear but I would I need to buy a whole set?

Forget it, I went to the dealer today, bent over and promised I'd never lose these over priced pieces of tin again! Yikes!

Are they like thin plates that go on the back of the pads? You don't need them.

Shims (as they are called) are there to prevent noise. You don't need them for the brakes to function, but you would want them to help keep brakes from squeaking.

No not the shims the clip like pieces that hold/align the pads on the caliper.

Update 5:30 and I found the front ones hiding on me! Whew! Now all I need is the one on the back but since I have the other 7 I'm thinking this one's a goner and I'll have to find one off a parts car online.

I know what they are called, I was describing them so he could ID them. They aren't needed though.

I know what part you are looking for now. No clue where to get them. Never had to source them. Sorry.

Well, this blew apart before I could even find time to get involved! The support plates are the ones on the front caliper that reach across the rotor to contact both brake pads, and on the rear caliper they appear to support each end on the inner pads only. The front ones are not available individually, but you can get them as part of the fitting kit, which does both calipers:

04947-17010 - $22.71 - Fitting kit, front

On the rear, the outer pads take anti-rattle clips on their ends. If you do need an anti-rattle clip for the rear, we can still get them. The lower ones are no. 2 and the upper ones are no. 1, or you can get the fitting kit, which appears to have all four pieces for each caliper (total eight pieces).

47748-14050 - $4.07 - Spring, anti-rattle, no. 1
47743-14040 - $4.07 - spring, anti-rattle, no. 2
04948-17030 - $12.13 - Fitting kit, rear
