Including insurance, it's $17.59 to ship the rear STB, or $20.63 to ship both sway bars via UPS Ground. It would cost $41.74 to ship the STB and both sway bars as a bundle, so that's not a great plan...

That depends. How many moneys do you have? You don't need to worry. There are still several sets available if you get the urge to splurge.

Hi,

Adam told me you will ship international, how much it will be to ship a MkII strut tower brace (rear) to Germany - zip code 67547

I think the shipping costs will kill your very good prices

Andreas

We can ship internationally without too much trouble. Laltey we have been sending one or two packages a week outside the US. Last week I sent two sets of swaybars to the Netherlands. Here are the details on international sales:
Exporting parts - Canada, Europe, Australia etc

If you wanted to buy a rear STB, it would break down like this:

PTR04-17900-01 - $255.00 - MkII strut tower brace, rear
5% international order charge -$12.75
Priority Mail International - $63.75
Grand total = $331.50

Thanks Andreas!

TRD doesn't always publish photos of every single part, but generally, if you do a Google image search for any part number you can find a few pics of whatever you are interested in. Thanks!

Send a message via AIM to RedStarr
Couple of questions:
F/R TRD Sway and F/R Strut bars - Wouldn't getting ALL sets of bars just make the handling neutral w/o any bias or correction of inherent handling faults of our cars?

Spark plug wires - What's so good about the TRD branded wires?

Headgasket - What's the benefit over the oem gasket?

Your best bet is to talk to someone who's already running these bars on a car like yours. It's not quite as simple as "more front bar eliminates understeer", etc. Plus there are differences between early and late MkIIs which will change how the sway bars make the car behave.

The TRD plug wires have about half the resistance of the stock ones. Plus they get the cool finger pull loops on top Do a Google image search for that part number and you should find some pics.

The head gasket is a steel shim gasket designed to withstand higher pressures - high boost, for example, or high compression. They are 0.8mm thick so they will also impart a slight bump in static compression ratio - about 1/4 of a point.

That's PTR04-00000-05, and I can get it easily. Be aware that it will not fit the '93+ shift lever without modifying things a bit as discussed earlier in this thread...

Shift boots are easy. I don't know what year your car is but I will assume it's a MkII.
58808-17020-01 - $28.93 - Shift boot, '91-'92
58808-17030-C0 - $27.63 - Shift boot, '93-'95

No go on the newer OEM knob, though. Tried that before, can't get it in the US.

I'm not sure. I was hoping someone who had compared them side by side would see your question and offer some help. Have you searched? You might try terms like TRD shifter throw and see what comes up.

I have a 92 MR2 with a TRD Quick Shift kit (absolutely love it, very smooth, nice short throws, highly recommend it). According to the instructions that came with it (translated out of Japanese), "Shift Stroke is about 20% shorter than standard lever model after 1/92, about 30% shorter than standard lever model between 10/89 and 12/91." So, according to that, it's 20% shorter than a 93 shifter, throw wise, and 30% shorter than a 91-92 shifter. I think the 93 shifter is 10-15% shorter throw than 91-92, so the above numbers provided should be correct (20% shorter throw than 93+, 30% shorter than 91-92).

I didn't have a 93 shifter before, but I might know of a car with a 93 shifter I can try and to compare the TRD quick shift kit against. If I am able to do that I'll post back.

They're the very first item listed on the very first post

This sale has been great, and I am going to extend it at least another two weeks! All the prices I quoted on TRD parts are good through Saturday, July 12th. If this keeps up I will run the sale even longer!

Also, I need to let everyone know that I am off work for a few days. I know the internet is on 24/7, but I am not part of the internet, and I really need to take a break. If you find yourself in a hurry and need something fast, please call (800)888-6305 and ask for Tracy in parts. He will be able to help you while I am away.

Thanks everybody!
