Turbo bolts/castle nuts
Aaron,
I could use a little help as I am having a problem keeping my ct20b from vibrating one of the nuts loose. I am going to pull the manifold and torque the turbo to bgb specs but I was hoping you could find the parts that I would need to replace all four studs/nuts, washers, etc.. , an exhaust manifold gasket and downpipe gasket for a 93 turbo. Does toyota have a high temp thread lock for this application? Thank you for your assistance and time. Eli Last edited by boost420; 07-04-2008 at 07:56 PM. |

If you have the stuff out of the car you shouldnt have any issues getting them tight enough not to stick.
I just use the white high temp locktite on those guys, and I tighten them on ouside of the car. |

What is the brand of the white locktite, I have been looking but have only been finding thread lock that goes to about 700 degrees.

Sorry man, I had to take a couple of days off! As far as I know, Toyota does not suggest any thread locking compound. Here are the part numbers:
90116-10125 - $0.99 - Stud (x4 = $3.96) 90179-10066 - $2.89 - Nut (x4 = $11.56) 17278-88381 - $25.40 - Gasket, turbo to manifold 17279-88381 - $23.86 - Gasket, turbo to downpipe elbow 17173-88381 - $19.14 - Gasket, manifold to head (x2 = $38.28) Thanks a lot! |
