Rear Strut Tube Holes
I bought a used set of strut assembly to rebuild and in stall on my 88' NA. When I got them I notice one the rears had a tab on it and the other one didn't . On taking them apart the one with the tab had a cartiage in it .The other was stock oil filled. On further checking notice the tab one was with all the holes were round and the stock one had obround holes. The tab have a number stamp on it JB 23 (Right). Stock BL-24 (left). The question is can I make the tab one the same as stock by making the top hole obround I checked and the holes location are the same just need to raise the top up. And any idea what year it may have come off .Plus going to add tab to stock for future sway bar

Thanks for the call today. I think what you have planned will work just fine. It's only metal...no reason not to make it work the way you want to!
