I searched the forums with no return on this part, so here goes.

Part #90987-02004

A few questions about it too if you will: what is it, how much does it cost, what does it control, and how do I know for sure if it is bad or good?

On your '87, that relay is used in several systems. They use one for the injectors, one for EFI main relay, one for the tail lamp circuit, one for the A/C system.

90987-02004-83 - $9.26 - Relay

The easiest way to check if it's good or bad is to substitute a known good one for it, since there are plenty to choose from on the car, and see if anything works differently.
