Car cover for MR2 1992
Hey Aaron!
How much will an genuine OEM MR2 car cover cost for my 1992T? I'm going to be parking my car for the winter and don't want to mess up the new paint job. Thanks! -M |

OK, this is weird...really weird. Why is everyone asking me for OEM car covers lately? There is no such thing, and to the best of my knowledge, there never was! If there had been, they'd have been discontinued many, many years ago. Is this a consipracy to send me on some kind of snipe hunt? Do I need to start wearing hats lined with aluminum foil to keep the voices out?

There was and OEM cover for the MKI that people use on MKIIs. They're hard to come by in reasonable condition and typically pull strong money. If you want one of these, you'll need to be able to wait much longer than this winter, and be willing to take a used one.

So any car cover will do? Can someone steer me in the right direction on one that will fit the MR2 2nd gen?

i bought this
eBay Motors: Toyota MR2 1991 1992 1993 1994 1995 Car Cover (item 220322296391 end time Dec-08-08 10:18:34 PST) but found out later after doing a lot of research that its just the same as this eBay Motors: CAR COVER - Toyota MR2 1990 1991 1992-1995 M (item 250334906222 end time Dec-30-08 11:03:46 PST) Seller of the first link says he has the best but it didn't look that way. I've had mine for about 3 weeks now. I haven't had a chance to try it on since its my daily driver. I'm planning to go on about 2 weeks vacation tho and will drive my truck. I'll be able to try it then. |

I know this thread is a month and a half old... but if you get an OEM S2000 car cover, it fits like a glove.
Tom's Mr2 SW20 with OEM 2000 Car Cover *Keep in mind this car is wingless though. |

WOW. That is a real surprise, and it looks like a perfect fit. Thanks jinraiden! I may have to call our Honda store and our wholesale vendors and see what they have to offer for the S2000.
