Rear Suspension Lower brace

This rusted out on me. I took the part to our local toyoat and he quoted me a price. I hope it is the right piece. It goes from the passenger fram under the AC/Alt and attaches toward the middle of the car. Looked like between the radiator lines. It is 1 inch in daimeter and about 14 inches long. Here is link to some pictures on my FB Bryan Davenport's Photos | Facebook

How much shipped to 64034?

Frankly, I am kind of surprised that your local dealer could even find the part. They are pretty difficult to locate in the EPC! Just so you can confirm, they're highlighted in the attached screenshot.

It looks like you only need the right side piece, but I'll list right and left just in case. Shipping would be the same for one or two pieces.

53653-17020 - Brace, rear suspension, RH
53654-17010 - Brace, rear suspension, LH

Update 08/02/11: You can now check prices or place your order at LithiaToyotaParts.com - check this thread for more info on how to use our website:SEARCH FIRST! Check out the new LithiaToyotaParts.com!

Hey Aaron, do you know what size the bolts are that hold the braces on?
EPC lists the bolt as 90119-10647

I do not, but by the size of the hole in the end of the brace, I'm guessing it's 10x1.25 thread. If they have a 14mm head, I'd bet lunch on it.

Hey, Brand New Mr2 Owner of a few weeks. I finally got underneath the car, and it turns out the left brace is completely rusted through, and I cant seem to locate the right one. (Probably because there is a plastic cover under the car) Anyway, I am wondering how I could get a hold of the left one, should I replace the right one just in case, and how necessary of a part is this?

Take a look at it before you replace it, but I bet it's going to be rotten as a peach! Toyota's not in the habit of paying for parts that don't make the car better, and given the fact that these do nothing for the looks of the car, I'd say there is a reason for their presence. You probably want to have them in place.

Rotten as a peach? Id rather eat the peach. There is a rust gap on about 1/3 of the way from the midmost mount, meaning it is not connected. its only sitting there looking pretty.... Minus the pretty. Thats why I was wondering about the importance XD i've been driving on it for a few weeks, and didnt even know until recently. Btw, thank you, I ordered a set of them today.
