Couple odd items...
Working on my March shopping list.
![]() 1) I was looking for the two-color parking light housings. I've only ever seen them on MR2s in Europe. The link is a picture for reference (I hope it loads, the site may not like direct linking). Wasn't sure if they were OE or not... http://pictures.autotrader.co.uk/img...a?id=840387470 2) I'm also looking for the plastic tray that fits underneath the ashtray (if you were to pull the ashtray out and looked into the hole it leaves in the center console, you'd be looking straight down at the plastic jobby I'm talking about). I got a few more parts on my mind, but these are the "go fetch" ones I wasn't sure if Toyota (still) made them or not. As always, thanks! EDIT: 3) Also curious how much a set of TRD headers for the 5VZ will set me back... Would be for a '97 4Runner 4WD if it makes any difference (I believe there is for the EGR v. non-EGR motors, mine has EGR). Oh, and does it bolt to the factory y-pipe? Thanks again! 1) I don't think I can get those UK-spec lamps. I can't find a good part number for them since we only get a North American EPC to work from. If you find a part number I'll be happy to try it.
2) 74104-17020 - $16.45 - Retainer sub-assy, front ash receptacle 3) I don't see any headers listed for earlier 5VZ, but I can get these, and they are on clearance: PTR10-89990-07 - $516.00 - Stainless headers, '99-'02 4Runner V6 (etc) Looks like they come with a proprietary y-pipe. I'll use someone else's image...hope they don't mind ![]() ![]() |

Hmm... I'll try to get a part number for the lamps...
I'm thinking I may not be able to use those headers, but I'm going to investigate this further... They don't have the EGR tube thingy coming off them that I've seen in other pictures. I hope I can use them, though- that's a BANGIN' price for them. As always, thanks! |

Yeah, they're on closeout, so the price has been dropped dramatically. These things are real works of art up close. They might work if you add an EGR bung and/or build up your own Y-pipe, but clearly they are designed for a longitudinal layout rather than transverse.

Well, I actually settled on a set of Doug Thorley headers for the early 5VZ, which it looks like are being discontinued as well (managed to get them at a good clearance price, too).
I still can't find a part number for the UK lamps. Or anyone selling a set, for that matter. Let's see, what else am I looking for... 1. As it turns out, I'll be needing an oil pump for the 5VZ, too. 2. The hardware to mount that rear strut-brace 3. I'd like to replace the "shiny" AC button on my environment panel. I remember someone saying that I need to buy the whole relay or something? 4. I am seriously running out of parts to buy from you, lol. ![]() |

1) 15100-62050 - $147.00 - Oil pump, 5VZFE
2) 90080-11472 - $0.83 - Bolt (x2 = $1.66) 3) 84660-17030 - $28.24 - Switch, air conditioning 4) I call BS. Thanks Kevin! |

![]() You were right on that call. ![]() I also need the plastic surrounds for the inside door handles, and I may as well splurge and get the TRD springs (92 NA if it matters) as well. Next paycheck, I'm so there. Some unexpected things ate a bit of my spare money this month. EDIT: oh, and I'll be needing 6 of those bolts since I didn't have the hardware from the factory cross brace. |
