WAAAAY long shot

Just when I thought there wasn't another part I could possibly buy. But I need to rack up more KoolAid points for that parking spot. :P

First, I was looking for the rubber boots for all 4 shocks.

Next, the long shot... I was hoping that the air conditioners from the Rav4 EV was still available in case I can't find a way to get mine working without hacking stuff.

As always, thanks!

Get the '93+ bumpstops - they're shorter and allow more travel.

48331-17030 - $24.17 - boot/bumpstop, front (x2 = $48.34)
48341-17020 - $25.32 - boot/bumpstop, rear (x2 = $50.64)

RAV4 EV A/C compressors are in the thousands of dollars. They are worth significantly more than my car. Do you need details? Or do you want to just roll down the windows and suck it up?

It scares me that I had to think long and hard about that last bit.

Hopefully I will be able to make the factory AC work right. But I've also just discovered if I do go to an electric unit, I'll have to get a beefier alternator- the AC units I've been checking out use a bit over 500W!

I wonder if I could even just use a twin alternator setup and use one of them purely to run an electric AC... Hmm... I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

As always, thanks for all your help!

Adding to the list. If you get bogged with other work, don't worry about getting these quotes out all speedy-like. This will be early next month stuff so I'm in no rush.

-The little yellow plastic clips used for holding in trim pieces (like the door cards and the misc plastic stuff in the cab.

-The little black plastic screw things that are used to secure the frunk liner.

^I'll probably need about 15 of each. Not because I'm missing that many, but because I just broke 5 of the equivalent hardware on my Jetta without remotely trying.

-I was wondering if TRD still sold the sealed front struts (not the coil overs). Bilstein keeps pushing their ETA back on the mkII fronts and I'd just feel gimpy running the stock, 220kmi in the front.

-Oh, I'll need a set of the manual transmission flywheel bolts for the 5VZ, too. I managed to actually shear one of mine when I was using it as a brace to get the dampener bolt off. Figured if that one was bad, don't wanna risk the others.

-And the turbo model radiator fan plugs (harness side) if they're different from the NA plugs.

-Before I forget, too: I need an alternator and AC belt for the 5VZ.

The Koolaid points will be mine! Although they're getting harder to collect. I have enough parts in my room to mechanically rebuild an entire MR2.

I'll have to buy another toy just to keep you guys in business.

Oh, and while I'm at it...

-On the E153 the... Damn I want to call them shift levers? There's like these little rubber boots on them. I noticed mine are trashed and I'm hoping that they're availible?

On the plastic interior panel retainers, there's more to it than you'd think:
MkII interior panel retainers - part numbers & pics inside!

67771-06030 - $1.05 - retainer, interior panel
67771-17020 - $1.03 - retainer, interior panel
67771-33030 - $1.85 - retainer, interior panel
67921-17030 - $0.91 - retainer, interior panel
67921-95501 - $1.24 - retainer, interior panel

-The little black plastic screw things that are used to secure the frunk liner:

90467-07041-C0 - $0.87 - Clip, frunk liner (5 req'd)

TRD Japan still shows sealed front struts to be available as a special order from Japan:
48511-SW293 - $130.00 – TRD front strut, each (x2 = $260.00)

Manual transmission flywheel bolts for the 5VZ:
90105-10138 - $1.16 - Bolt, flywheel (x8 = $9.28)

Most of the turbo and NA radiator fan motors are the same throughout the range, so their connectors will be the same, although automatic and Canadian cars use different motors for some reason...

Here are the 5VZ belts you asked about:
90080-91090-83 - $8.71 - Belt, alternator, 5VZ-FE
99364-20870-78 - $18.86 - Belt, A/C, 5VZ-FE

And the little rubber shift lever boot, there's just one on the shaft, where it comes out of the tranny, and it's shown as 33531B here:
ToyoDIY.com
33531-17030 - $14.40 - Boot, dust

There are also a couple of boots on one of the bellcranks, shown as 33558 and 33557F here:
ToyoDIY.com
33558-12010 - $4.04 - Cover, selecting bellcrank
33557-32010 - $4.42 - Cover, selecting bellcrank

Thanks Kevin!

Oh wow those TRD struts cost only 2 bucks more than what I paid for the rears... I shoulda just bought all 4 from you.

Looks like Billstein is pushing out their ship date again... Dang.

Brace yourself, I'll be giving you a call in a couple weeks.

And, I'll figure out which of those interior clippy things I need.

Thanks!

More stuff!

Now, the O2 sensors (pre-cat and post-cat) for the '97 4Runner.

I'll keep thinking of stuff. I uhh... Accidentally spent too much money when I went on vacation. So now I need to wait until the middle of the month to order. So. Take your time.

No problem at all. Realistically though, Toyota's are kind of spendy, and o2 sensors are almost universal. You could run ND or NGK replacements and save a few bucks for when you really do need Toyota parts.

I'm a great parts guy, but a terrible salesman...

89465-39895 - $114.26 - Oxygen sensor, front, standard
89465-80035 - $125.76 - Oxygen sensor, front, improved (better moisture protection)
89465-39855 - $114.26 - Oxygen sensor, rear

Thanks man!

Hey Aaron, are the belts shipping from somewhere else? I'm just wondering because they weren't circled on the packing slip/no enclosed with the bumpstops, etc., and I still haven't gotten them.

Please tell me I get to wup some postal ass- they've had it a long time coming.

HA! Probably not. I'll talk to our shipping clerk about this, and make sure our inventory count matches what we physically have on the wall. I'd better make sure I actually sold the belts on the invoice, too, before I go pointing fingers at anyone else

Hmm... I suppose a SECOND parking space would make up for this...

...but...

...Are you sure it wasn't the post man? I was polishing my crowbar all day.
